Hey Hey, its been a while since I've posted one of these, but this is a "biggy".

Fallout 3 is 50% off! Everyone knows this game, so I won't go into too much detail, however I will mention that this "great deal" isn't really a "great deal"!!

The normal price for this game on the US steam site is $39.99US, yet us aussies (and other regions) get it for $69.99US... so this special isn't really that good in the big scheme of things. Also it doesn't include any of the DLC! So my advice if you haven't got this game already, go over to ozcdkeys or g2play and purchase a key for it. This is perfectly legit and a popular choice amoung many gamers for getting games at super cheap prices. Alternatively, wait for the complete pack that is apparently coming later in the year that will include all 5 DLC packages for approx $50 (I assume that is US$).

I like to think that we (the SOGC) are providing a great community service by bringing this to gamers attention. Don't be fooled by the "fantastic" specials that sometimes aren't that "fantastic".

CBN Media was holding a qualifier match for the WCG 2009 Australian DOTA competition (Warcraft 3) -- and they were short of some mousepads!

The SOGC is looking to really spread its wings and support the e-sports gaming community within NSW; we're also looking at really pushing the grass roots movement that is the SOGC into a bigger arena, with a lot more support from the gamers here in Sydney. Some of you may have heard of the announcement that SGL is up for sale at their website - we wish them all the best, they are great friends, supporters and are awesome advisors to look up to when it comes to our event. They even regularly attend our events - so if you'd like to catch up and give them well wishes etc, signup to DominationLAN and take a moment to thank them for all the great work they did for the Sydney LAN scene!

Hi everyone - as you know there was an e-mail going around for people to reset their passwords. this was for the SOGC site only - preferably set your passwords to the same ones you had before to avoid minimal issues with forum logins as well (our system logs you into the site and forums simultaneously).

To do this - Login using the login box on the right hand side menu - then click on My Profile

If you go through and edit the profile - you should be able to set: avatars, password, gamer profile and anything else you feel like.

DominationLAN's forums are online now for you to post questions/ask for advice etc. I'll be personally sitting on the forums when I can, so you can expect fairly prompt answers leading up to our event; on top of the press releases we'll have every now and then. No question is too stupid - don't test that theory out. But don't be scared to ask even the most basic questions regarding a LAN.
